Does Chilblains =/= UWSC?
I was chating around with my friend and how lots of NPC necros carry chilblain, it's basically useless and NPC's can spam it before they die.
My friend says Chilblain is vital to UWSC. 1) Is chilblain extremely useful for UWSC? 2) If it was nerfed/changed, will UWSC be a SC anymore? |

If i remeber well Chillblains was a pbaoe. Reverting this, foes will rush in and use it, bypassing SF. I dont know if necros in UWSC carry it because i never did it.

No chilblains is just a general AoE spell which can be used at normal spell casting range (Your aggro bubble).
I'd say its not a neccesity for UWSC, but it does make it a heck of a lot easier for the assassin if you take it, especially if the vale is A/D. Heres the wiki for chilblains: Spell. You become Poisoned for 10 seconds. Foes in the area of your target are struck for 10...37...44 cold damage and lose 1...2...2 enchantments. |

It can be vital to the Vale Team, but noone else. I myself use chiblains, which is almost always necessary these days, as most people are going A/D for Vale Sin, thus having no enchant removal for IW. That being said, it is doable with GDW instead, and UWSC would still be majorly do-able without Chiblains.

It is VITAL for The Forgotten Vale, as maddened or tortured spirits (can't remember which) have Illusionery Weaponry- which bypasses SF.

Makes sense, having scythe attacks doesn't mean they can't kill you fast, because if you want mass AoE enchant removal by a melee attack you have to ball up extremely good then use attack. So if Chilblain was changed so would the entire SC, thanks!

1 thing, they DONT ball. Afaik, the tortured spirits in vale have the most irratic AI in game, they run around in circles, they dont agro immediately like normal enemies. If the vale sin is a/d, the necro NEEDS chil-b's...

you do need a chilblains on someone, either the vale necro or the vale sin, to stop tortured spirits from bypassing SF

Lol dont give advice if youve never done vale in uwsc before, the vale sin drops sf before the quest is taken, he dsnt perma because IW goes thru sf and it lowera his dmg output
